Hollo-Bolt by Lindapter was used to secure the huge videoboard at NRG Stadium, which is one of the largest video screens in the world. It is made up of several boards, each measuring 52 feet by 277 feet wide, for a total of 14,549 square feet of display that is packed with 5.28 million pixels.

The video screen helped NRG stadium to win the bid to host the big game for 2017, as it improved the experience for the fans with playbacks which are 25% larger than what they have ever seen before.

Hollo-Bolt was specified for the splice connections on the steel (SHS) frame and for attaching the video screen to the existing steel roof trusses. The Hollo-Bolt was chosen because of Lindapter’s range of independent technical approvals and over 80 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing steel-to-steel connections. The Hollo-Bolt by Lindapter is the only expansion bolt for structural steel that has the full seismic approval from Californian based ICC-ES for all seismic design categories (A-F).

The Hollo-Bolt allowed a quick and easy installation process from one side only, allowing the contractors to complete the project on schedule.
