Providing Support to the Steel Sector

SCI (the Steel Construction Institute) has been a trusted, independent source of information and engineering expertise globally for over 30 years, and remains the leading, independent provider of technical expertise and disseminator of best practice to the steel construction sector.
Recognising that not all industry needs are the same, SCI supports the sector in a number of ways.

SCI Membership: providing a variety of benefits, including full access to our library of technical information. Benefits are designed to suit companies and their employees, or individuals.

Assessment Schemes: are designed to support products and services, and include processes, product manufacture, design and data documentation.

Training: for those requiring knowledge updates or to understand latest developments, SCI provides online training, or company inhouse training. Course content is designed specifically to address ‘real design’ issues relative to a company. Latest calendar of courses is available here.

SCI Tedds Modules: these specialist modules present the latest design information in an easy to use way, to supplement the standard modules provided in Tekla Tedds software.

Advisory Desk Service: included in most SCI membership packages. The Advisory team’s extensive knowledge covers all aspects of steel design and construction, including interpretation of code requirements. This service is designed to help avoid over design, avoid making potentially costly mistakes, and avoid disputes.

Consultancy: Clients commission SCI to provide comprehensive support, such as site inspections, advanced analysis, and design reviews.
