PUREST
SCI is co-ordinating a new European dissemination project called PUREST: Promotion of new Eurocode rules for structural stainless steels. Working with partners in Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Poland, the Fourth Edition of SCI’s publication Design Manual for Structural Stainless Steel will be prepared and translated into 9 languages. Design software to EN 1993-1-4 will be developed and seminars will be held across Europe, in association with stainless steel producers and development associations. The project runs for 18 months until December 2017 and is part funded by the EU’s Research Fund for Coal and Steel.
