This seminar aimed to equip engineers with essential information for the efficient design of long span structures such as stadia and exhibition halls made of high strength steel. HILONG, a European collaborative research project part-funded by the Research Fund for Coal and Steel, studied innovative solutions for high strength, long span steel structures.
